Website Design Brighton Sussex Uk - Step by Step Buyers Guide
1. All websites need a website address. This is also known as a 'domain name', or 'url'. These can be purchased
through numerous companies on the internet. We can purchase these on your behalf to make the whole process easier for
you. Domain names require renewal annually.
2. Once you have a domain name you will need some 'web hosting'. This is in effect rented space on a server. Payment
for this is usually paid on an annual basis and allows you to display web pages on the internet. Again this is
something we can arrange for all our clients.
3. The next step is to obtain a quotation for the design of your website. Quotes will vary depending on the project
and its complexity (click to here to request a free quote from us)
4. Once you are happy with our quotation, we will go ahead with the design of your website. An initial deposit will
be required to cover the cost of your domain name and web hosting.
5. Getting your content ready for your site is your next step. We recommend typing your content up using a program
like Word. You will need to have an idea of the pages you will want on your website such as an 'about us' page, a
'services' page, a 'contact' page and so on. You may also want to include a Company logo and photographs for your
website.
6. While you are putting your content together we will create a layout for your site. After your initial enquiry we
will ask you for any ideas you have regarding the colour scheme or 'look and feel' of your website. You may wish to
include similar ideas you have seen on another website.
7. We will present you with an initial layout. You then advise us of your initial thoughts, whether you like the
design, any changes required etc.
8. Once the design has been finalised we will create your web pages using your content. Once this is done they will
ask you to check it.
9. We will then upload all your web pages to your 'web space' (eg. web hosting).
10. Your website will now be active on the internet.
